・紋章〈もんしょう〉coat of arms.emblem.

・戒め〈いましめ〉過ちを犯さないように罰すること。用心、注意すること。警戒。

・異口同音〈いくどうおん〉
多くの人がみな口をそろえて、同じことを言うこと。
ex.彼らは異口同音に「天才」という言葉を言った。

英語学習してるときに海外のことわざを知ることがあって、「その文章でなぜその意味に？」っていうのが多くてやっぱりその地域にもとづいた表現でむずかしいのよね。だから、故事成語とか昔の読みかたをがんばっておぼえようとしてるのがえらすぎる。
手間がふえるけど漢字は表意文字だから、意味もいっしょにおぼえるのがいいとおもう。異も違も同じdifferentとか

◆2)「オンヨミ」and「クンヨミ」

It seems that both of you are generally capable of "クンヨミ" readings.

And you mentioned not understanding the difference between the two reading methods.

Primarily, "クンヨミ" is a reading where the meaning can be understood from the reading alone.

[Example]

恋する (コイ-スル) means to like,

愛する (アイ-スル) means to love.

In contrast, "オンヨミ" is a reading where the meaning cannot be understood from the reading alone.

[Example]

恋 (レン) means like,

愛 (アイ) means love,

But their meanings cannot be deduced from the readings alone.
However, combining them creates words with meanings.
For instance, 恋愛 (レンアイ) means "romantic love."
※Please be mindful that there are exceptions as well.
